Greg Collins is an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice at Texas Christian University. He is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. His research interests are Obstetric anesthesia, Ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia, Point of care ultrasound, and Enhanced recovery after surgery
Mary Scott-Herring is an assistant professor at Georgetown University in the Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) Program, Washington, DC. Formally the CRNA Education Coordinator at the University of Maryland Medical Center and the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, and the Clinical Coordinator of Graduate Nurse Anesthesia Education at Johns Hopkins, all in Baltimore, MD, she continues her clinical practice in these facilities, providing anesthesia to patients of all ages. Dr. Scott-Herring is one of only 2 CRNAs to complete an Armstrong Patient Safety Fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Armstrong Institute of Patient Safety in which she received the Elizabeth Martinez Fellowship Award. This in-name recognition is given to a staff or faculty member in the Johns Hopkins University Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine in memory of Dr. Elizabeth Martinez and her leadership and dedication to patient safety. Dr. Scott-Herring served for two years as an appointed member of the AANA State Organizational Development Committee as well as the AANA Nominations Committee. In addition, she has been involved with the Maryland Association of Nurse Anesthetists (MANA) as a board and committee member and remains active in policy and government relations activities. Dr. Scott-Herring has had the honor of speaking to a variety of audiences at the local, state, and national levels. Most recently, Dr. Scott-Herring graduated with a master’s degree in Medical Cannabis Science and Therapeutics from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. Her interests include clinical education and professional development, preceptor/mentorship, simulation, quality improvement, active shooter events, pediatrics, artificial intelligence, and healthcare policy.
Judy Simon, JD, RN Ms. Simon joined PPM in 2021. As a Senior Claims Professional and Risk Advisor, Ms. Simon manages claims and litigation files along with providing risk management support and guidance to PPM insureds. Ms. Simon is also active in PPM’s risk management efforts, conducting on-site and virtual risk management seminars. Ms. Simon obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Research College of Nursing. Ms. Simon brings years of litigation experience in private practice, along with her experience in healthcare as a registered nurse.
