2020 Fall Conference Speakers                                     

 

Brent Dunworth, DNP, MBA, CRNA

 Brent Dunworth has a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Pittsburgh as well as a Master of Business Administration from Waynesburg University. Brent is the Director of Advanced Practice and Chief CRNA at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Brent has received numerous awards, among them the Agatha Hodgins Award for outstanding nurse anesthesia student, the Pennsylvania Association 

of Nurse Anesthetists’ Didactic Instructor of the Year Award, the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing’s Outstanding Young Alumnus Award and the Nevin Downs Leadership Award from Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia. Dr. Dunworth has lectured nationally on a variety of topics in nurse anesthesia and maintains clinical practice at Vanderbilt.

 

 

 

Brian J. Kasson, DNP, APRN, CRNA

Dr. Kasson is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Nursing at Northern Kentucky University’s Nurse Anesthesia Program. He has been a faculty member and speaker at the AANAs highly acclaimed Spinal and Epidural Workshops since 2008 and was the recent president of the Ohio State Association of Nurse Anesthetists. As author and coauthor he has published articles in the AANA Journal, Anesthesia and Analgesia as well as the chapter on Obstetrical Anesthesia in both the 5th and 

6th editions of Nagelhout’s textbook “Nurse Anesthesia”.

 

 



Ron Ray, DNAP, CRNA, FNP-C, ENP-C

Dr. Ray is triple boarded in Anesthesia, Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine. He is army trained and completed his Masters in Anesthesia from the US Army/Texas Wesleyan program and his doctorate degree (DNAP) from Texas Wesleyan University. He completed his Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of Boston-Mass and Emergency Medicine program at West Virginia University.
He has 28 years’ experience providing anesthesia and 10 years of family medicine and emergency medicine experience.
Dr. Ray is especially interested in trauma and tactical medicine. He was a part of law enforcement tactical teams providing medical support for the last eleven years.

 

 

 

Randall Moore, DNP, MBA

Dr. Randall Moore became the Chief Executive Officer of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists on September 5, 2017. Prior to that, Randy served as
a senior hospital administrator with Passavant Area Hospital/Memorial Health System in Jacksonville, IL. In addition to Randy’s hospital leadership experience, he has served as AANA Treasurer and Region 3 Director. In addition to his service to the AANA, Randy has held various leadership positions within the Illinois Association of Nurse Anesthetists - including region director, government relations Chair, and president.
